A few problems with that story:

1. No verifiable news source has that story anywhere on Ye Olde Net
2. How was she talking to someone of the opposite faction on a PVP server? Or if it was PVE, why didn't she wait her flag out?
3. Who the hell names their kid "Bronco Carson"?

I call shenanigans.

You'd be right, see my comment below.

Other forms of communication can be arranged, from realm forums to realm IRC. Being on a PvP server does not mean there's no way they could have spoken (though it does make it more difficult).

Or if it was PVE, why didn't she wait her flag out?
There's an idiot born every day (an? I think the saying needs updating).

I'm just saying it's highly suspect when combined with the fact that the story dead-ends at FunTechTalk's blog.

I agree it's highly suspect. I'm just posing possible answers to your questions. :) I've seen nothing that's anywhere near proof on either side, and I'm more likely to assume it's fake than real.

Read through this as well and I have to agree with you.

I can't believe we got this published on the site. Now we're the laughing stock of the internet. Bloody hell.

:(

It's also completely fake.

FWIW, WoW Insider also pegged it as being fake. There's a disclaimer at the bottom of their posting about it saying there are no credible sources.

What's the deal with these locked posts?

Some people have the habbit of making all their posts friends only, nothin wrong with it in my books.

My first "huh?" moment was that Bronco Carson is not a particularly common combination of names for someone in Mexico City.

(I actually know a guy named Branko, but he's from the Czech Republic, not Mexico.)

Not worth the time with all the pop up's and "Skip this ad" pages that loads while reading the article. And yes, I have firefox :P

Wow. None loaded for me. Safari, here. I do have an "AdBlock" like mod to Safari installed, and I do have quite a few domains and strings in it...

Ditto, I didn't have any popups, nor any ad-skip pages when I loaded it. Firefox, Adblock, script blocking.

....Remind me to shoot the person who wrote that.

They blindly wrote about stuff again? Damn it. :(

(I work there. My apologies.)
