In my POV, I seem to have come at an impasse... one of the Outlands quests I got is called "The Path of Anguish" and two of the rewards are weapons I can use. One is a dagger called [Screaming Dagger] and the other being a sword called [Foe Reaver].
They both give a +7 to Agility and +12 to Stamina, but the dagger has a speed of 1.80 and increases AP by 16 where as the sword has a speed of 2.60 and has a +8 to Strength. As far as DPS goes, they're simply 0.1 point away from each other (dagger @ 44.7 DPS / sword @ 44.6 DPS).
Now here's the tricky part. Although as a rogue I can use Backstab or Ambush with the dagger (unfortunatly not Mutilate since I spec'd 41 points into Combat with no plans on respeccing), which is sometimes essential when in a group (let tank grab mob, go behind mob, and backstab), I've been training, grinding, and questing with swords ever since a guildie got me my first Blackwater Cutlass from the Deadmines and from Lv31 to Lv35 and put points into my Sword Specialization which gives me a 5% chance to get an extra attack on the same target after hitting my target with a Sword and the glancing blows I do sometimes proc the Sword Spec too... which would explain my dagger skill and it's lack of thereof in a previous post I had made.
I'd like your opinions on both weapons to help me decide.
