Undocumented 3.3.0 change

Any member of a party used to be able to use a raid warning (/rw)in a party. Now, if you use /rw in a party you get a message saying "You aren't in a raid." Shame, it was handy - especially when trying to get through to party members who weren't paying attention. The warning on the screen and the noise was agood wakeup.

Back when I used to run my parents through instances we discovered my stepfather is such an avid soloer that he has became notorious in my family for utterly ignoring the fact that there's a chat window in the lower corner of his screen - he saw raid warnings beacuse they popped up right there in the middle. (I don't even bother messaging him "hello" anymore, he's just too much "in the zone" when he's playing. He's a bit that way IRL, too. :) )

I think that has something to do with the new way instances are set up. The same used to be true of battlegrounds, but once auto-grouping and multi-server battlegrounds were implemented, /rw would no longer work. Which is a real friggin' shame, as that was a hell of a good way to get a PuG battleground to listen to you.

Have you tried it with a group on your server? Try making a random five-man and see if you can do a /rw in it.

I discovered it when grouped just with my wife tooling around Sholazar.

Well that's disappointing.

Speaking of raids, another change they made was that non-leaders can't do readychecks anymore (I'm not sure if that's documented or not). Which is irritating because I'm impatient and I usually do readychecks in lieu of our raid leader doing them.

I guess I should clarify that I mean raid assists - I've always been an assist for marking purposes and was previously able to readycheck as well.

That's a documented bug on the forums. Hopefully they'll fix it soon!

Yes, it's very annoying too!

And in the opposite direction, everyone can now mark!

Awwww glad I got Glory of the Hero done a long time ago. We used that on a few of the achievements since one of our people doesn't have a mic.
