I thought the days of not knowing how an encounter works in a dungeon run were over. I was wrong. ALL THREE DPS had no frickin' clue how the Raigonn fight worked last night. The healer and I had to duo him/her/it. The DPS didn't do the cannon thing right even after the healer and I explained how to do it... then all three died. Dodging eleventy-billion little tornadoes while smacking the huge bug AND helping heal myself... good times.

Then in a Stormstout Brewery run, again all three DPS had no idea what they were doing... between a Warlock, Hunter, and Rogue... NO DOTS other than passive effects. Yes, I had track buffs/debuffs on.

Maybe Blizz should require completing an LFG tutorial quest before you can queue for Heroic LFG.... >:[

I was here quite a few months ago with this post. Since then, I've stopped playing. The week MoP came out, actually. I was using Ross' Rage Bar, but it seems to not work anymore. Is it not MoP compatible? Am I just failing at getting it to work, or has it stopped? Sadly, I uninstalled Curse when I uninstalled WoW and lost all my addons. So the Rage Bar that I just downloaded is fully updated, before anyone asks.

As for the cooldowns I was talking about in that previous post, I'm not sure what I was using. I know I had Quartz, because the casting bar looks very familiar. The red area at the end to que your next spell is something I know I had. I can't seem to figure out the cooldown aspect of it (assuming that's what I was using for CDs). I know the one I did have was a bar with the icon for the spell at the end of it. You could set it to flash the icon in the middle of the screen/where ever you wanted when it was off CD. Basically, I'd just like something that does the same thing, that's easy for me to configure.

One last question. Gatherer (sp?). Is there some way, some website, that has people's nodes/map that can be downloaded? So I can see them on my map without having to find the acutal nodes myself. I realize there are many websites out there who have a map that shows where they are. However....I'm lazy and much rather just download them. Haha.

Hey everyone, it has been forever since I have posted and I only recently came back to wow due to the announcements for 5.3. I came back since I love the horde-alliance war and story line and I was wondering if I would be missing anything huge by running the darkspear rebellion on alliance toons (other than different chat log stuff). Has anyone seen if they will see extra or considerably better content? I am trying to get my 85 warrior to 90 asap for this but I am wondering if I should do the same thing with my horde dk to experience something different/better?

It has really been bothering me, now that I have gotten quite a bit busier I don't have as much time to just level both in that time frame. Thank you for any help!

I know its a long shot, but I'm fairly anxious to find a good home for my toons. In a round about way I ended up on Mug'thol. I'm way under geared and under experienced in current content but I really miss raiding. My current schedule would allow for raiding during the daytime hours 9am-4:30pm or in the evening after 9pm. Currently Horde side, but would be willing to faction change as well. I may even consider another server change, as I miss having a good guild that badly. I'm would even interested in finding a guild to call home now to raid in future expansions. My old guild fell apart early in Cataclysm and it took me awhile to get back into the game after that. In my previous life I was a dedicated raider and always did my best to be prepared and early for raid nights. Along with my arcane mage, I also have a feral/balance druid who is lvl capped, but is more severely under geared. My druid was my previous raid toon so I am more than comfortable stepping back into a druid role as well. I have raided in all specs as a druid, so any role would suffice. I'm a bit of an altoholic, and would love to bring my baby toons into a guild as well. I have a prot pally that is at 86 and slowly making her way towards 90.

Having recently gained exhausted with the Huojin Pandaren, and the Golden Lotus as of yesterday, I am now sitting at 136 mounts on one character, and about 162 mounts account wide (somehow I've been given Alliance versions of many horde mounts I already have like the Mekgineer's Chopper and the Winterspring Frostsaber).

For the longest time I've been relying on macro's that I could tailor to be able to randomly summon one among a particular range of mounts based upon what I wanted at any particular moment. I actually have ranges for particular types of mounts, not just flying vs ground, but forest mounts, barrens mounts, snow mounts, and then even the fliers I had separated into groups depending on how distant I planned to travel (dragons are used for crossing zones while windriders are for travelling within a zone). This allows me to show off all my mounts and still feel like I'm riding something relatively appropriate for any area I happen to be in, rather than purely randomizing my mounts.

But with 130+ mounts, and a full compliment of characters on one server including an Alliance alt.... these macro's are not only becoming unwieldy every time I get a new mount, the character limit is actually preventing me from being able to include all the mounts in a particular spread that I would like.

Anyone know of a good addon that might help me to handle all of this?

Thanks to some wonderful suggestions I have found that GoGoMounts does almost exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you all for your suggestion, and if anyone else is having similar issues now you know what to look for. If anyone has any further suggestions that might be better or also useful feel free to continue to comment.

Hello everyone!

Selliie here, guild master of Mythos on Bleeding Hollow-US, a Horde-side guild who is in need of a few good players to flesh out our 10 main raid team!

About us: We are a smaller guild which started out as a group of real life friends just before the launch of Cataclysm. Back then, our guild master was the fearless Thandram and we had barely enough people around to run 5 mans together. Today, I have inherited control of the guild and while we have enough members to run a 10 man team, real life is starting to get in the way for a few key people, and so we have decided to officially start recruiting! We are currently 0/16 in Mists of Pandaria, but it's certainly not for a lack of desire! While we are primarily a social/leveling guild, most of our members started out this expansion expecting to get our feet wet in raiding, so we are truly hoping we can grab a few more people and get the ball rolling!

What we're looking for: At this point we are in dire need of a tank and at least one healer, possibly one or two DPS for permanent spots on our raiding roster. Of course, anyone is more than welcome to come and check us out, but these are the only roles I can absolutely promise a raid spot to. We do one night a week, Sunday, starting at 9:30pm server time (EST) and plan to raid for at 2-3 hours per week (more if people are willing and able!)

What's in it for you: Glory! Active guild chat! Alt friendly guild! ALL THE MAGE CAKES YOU CAN EAT!!! ...ok, so maybe I can't exactly promise you glory, but I can say that we have a wonderful group of people in Mythos. Most of us have known each other for at least a year, we have our own vent server that people like to hang out on almost nightly, and everyone is very helpful. We're big on running old raid content for transmog/achievements/ALLTHEPETS! and tend to run LFR and Heroics together on a weekly basis. Catatonic is a Horde side guild that is located on Bronzebeard, currently 5/16. We are third in progression on Horde side for our server at the moment.
We focus on casual progression, meaning we are aimed at progression and make sure our raiders are skilled enough to do their job, but we also approach raiding as it should always be: fun.

Currently we are in the process of setting up a second team, Wednesday/Thursday at 6 server (PST) and need a couple more people to complete the core team. The open core spots are: Two healers (Preferrably one with a dps offspec), one tank, and one melee dps.
We are also looking to recruit a core boomkin or warlock for our first raid team.

Horde - Echo Isles (US)

Hello,

We are currently seeking one (possibly two) DPS for a permanent spot in our core raid group. We are currently 2/6 on Vaults and looking to improve our progression by filling spots with permanent raiders able to attend every week. We are fairly laid back and friendly but we also know when to put on our game faces in order to get done what needs to be done. We are primarily a social guild with a small group interested in end game progression.

We ask that all members of the raid group maintain good attendance (on time, let someone know if you are going to be late and let someone know as far in advance as possible if you have to miss) and come fully prepared. This means gear fully enchanted, gemmed, and reforged and having any consumables or tomes on your person for the raid. We do have people in the guild who can help make these for you or help you obtain them. You will be expected to have researched the fights and have at least a good theoretical grasp when you come into the raid.

In return we provide a low-drama, friendly group to experience end game progression with as well as a wider group of people to play with and get to know. We provide help with your personal progression as a player and just a group to have a great deal of fun with.

We currently raid every Friday and Saturday night from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM PST.

Finances. Can't really afford to pick up Mists right now, nor reactivate my account (they kinda have to go hand in hand!). Probably not until January. Possibly earlier - depends on how things go.

HOWEVER.

Blizz is offering a 10-day free trail of Mists. In Cataclysm I hit 85 within a week. Is leveling at about the same rate? I'm weighing out giving it a shot. I'm open to advice.

In related news... my daughter, who four years ago (at the age of seven) just wanted to try new outfits on her characters in town, is eleven now and was asking about the game, which I've been out of for over a year now. I was setting up a trail account for her to play on ("Hit level 20 and we'll see about upgrading your account"), and I noticed you could create ANY race, not just the ones you had the expansion for. (When did that start?)

I just played through the Panderia starting zones and they have my approval. That was fun (or I've just been away too long). The scene with the hot air balloon, and talking to the giant turtle was well-rendered.

Guild server transfer question (EU)

Soo it has come to it that our guild has realised that the server we are on (Bladefist-EU) is getting deader and deader by the hour and the nickname Deadfist is more appropriate than ever. We can't recruit new people, we can't find pvp teams, nothing. We need to move to a different server.

We are still considering it, nothing is certain, but research is needed and the main question is - where to go? Well, the general consensus is that we are bone-tired of ganking so we are all up only for a transfer to a PvE server.

So this is where I ask you if you can recommend a EU PvE server with more alliance than horde, a healthy economy and population? We're thinking of Silvermoon-EU, which is high-pop and has more Alliance and seems good but do any of you play there and can say how it is? Or can recommend another good server?

My wife and I have a tiny (read: just the two of us) guild on Earthen Ring, and we would like to find some more people. We would like to have at least one more person at or near 90 so we can group up and get credit for guild scenarios and dungeons, but anyone is welcome. We will probably start doing LFR as well once we get geared up. We are currently guild level 7, we dont care about gender, race, or orientation and all we ask is that you behave like a decent human being. I realize this is a long shot, seeing as how easy it is to get into a lvl 25 guild and soak up the perks but if you want a safe and friendly guild to run with, you can send me a message on lj or /who Brotherhood of the Wolf on Earthen Ring.

I just finished a huge commission, and now I'm back. (: I'll be taking 2 slots per month of simple requests (a "simple request" would be a full-body, full-colored character with simple background). Depending on what you want, you may take up one slot, both slots, or 8 slots (last commission was TOO awesomely huge). Each slot will have about a 2 week turnaround. I have never missed a deadline, and I don't intend to ever start to do so.

These do not have to be WoW-specific commissions. They can be anything!

First let me say that I am in New Jersey and just out of the storm ravaged area's. My heart goes out to all those people that lost not only their power, but for those that even lost their entire houses. I was so incredibly thankful that I didn't lose power and we only lost a tree that hit or house and didn't cause much damage. Well then we got hit with the snow storm right after it and we had 12 inches on top of it and we lost power Thursday around 12am. Well most of the food in our fridge and freezer is wasted, I have no heat and yet the only thing that upsets me is that I can not play wow at night. Granted I can go to work and have heat, food, and internet and everyone is allowed to bring their families here to get warm which is amazing and we can charge our electronics. But I am not able to get any wow time in and I know that 32 plots of Crops are going to waste.

Hopefully power will be back on soon, but I understand that the 6 poles and 2 transformers down the street are not as important as some other places, I just hope that the power comes back soon enough before I have to replace all the food in my house.

Raid Times: Thursday/Monday 8:30-11:30 pm EST

Delicious Plague is primarily a social/casual guild, and has been without an "official" raid team for a long time. Our current raid team was thrown together about halfway through 4.3, where we went 8/8 in normal DS and 1/8 in heroic (we lost a lot of people to late-expansion blues and were therefore unable to progress any further). This expansion, however, we're more dedicated to progression--while none of us are hardcore raiders by any means, getting all current content down while it's current is our goal. To that end, we've formed a new core 10-man raiding team. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we've lost some of our DPS, and while we've found temporary replacements, we're looking for some more permanent members to join our ranks.

What we want:
+ two DPS, ranged or melee (with a very slight preference for melee).
+ any class is welcome! however, we're shortest on cloth- and leather-wearers by far (we have one holy priest and NO leather-wearers), and we'd prefer not to take on any more hunters, paladins, or shaman if at all possible, at least not for the core raid team.
+ dedicated raiders who can make most if not all raid dates and will mesh well with the group.
+ male or female raiders are both welcome--our guild (and raid team) is about 3/4 female but we take all kinds (I'm male myself).

What you get:
+ a fairly casual and fun group of people to run current content with--we know when to buckle down and be serious, sure, but we like making each other laugh between downing bosses (and sometimes during). expect many naked, dancing trolls, and a certain hunter stacking on the raid leader during Yor'sahj's green slimes.
+ a guild that does a little bit of everything--old raids? we run 'em. achievement runs? you got it. RP? several of us are into it, though we're not on an RP server. about the only thing we don't do is PvP, and even then we've got a couple of members who dabble.
+ people who are willing to run stuff with you to help gear you up if necessary, and guild enchanters/jewelcrafters/etc. who will help you make the most of your gear.
+ when I said we take all kinds I mean we take all kinds--we don't tolerate hate speech of any kind. speaking as the raid leader, I'm trans and bi myself, and any problems are always swiftly dealt with. we want everyone to feel comfortable.

We don't have a guild site, since we've found that most of our members tend not to use it, but we do have a raid blog you can feel free to browse at your leisure. The code of conduct and loot rules are available there if you'd like to check them out.

Even if you're not interested in us for raiding purposes, feel free to join us as a social member! Whisper Quetzalcoatl, Duibhín / Zenkú, Taernoth, Calibrator or Rekalai in-game for an invite. The first is myself, the second is the GM, and the latter three are all officers. Or you can /who Delicious Plague and whisper someone asking for an officer (just be sure to tell them Marvel sent you).

If you're not sure if you'd like to join us as a raider yet, rolling a low-level alt to check us out/ask questions is absolutely encouraged! We can also cross-realm heroics/older raids with you if you'd like to see how we roll on a more personal level. If you do elect to join us, we'll take you on as a "trial raider" right away (so we can see how well you mesh with the group and answer basic questions like, can you pull a baseline amount of DPS? do you have decent raid awareness? do you come prepared/follow the code of conduct?) and you'll be promoted to a full raider after a couple of weeks. The third annual Running of the Gnomes will be held on Scarlet Crusade-US Alliance Side (Where else would we hold such an event?) Starting in the Gnome starting zone!!

Running of the Gnomes 2012 will benefit The Cleveland Clinic, creators of the Tuohy Vaccine that could prevent Breast Cancer. This year we’ll even have two exciting contests!

Why are you guys doing this? What's going on? Gnomes?!

Back in 2009 Skakavaz and I came up with the idea to turn SeeD's tabard Pink for the month of October. It was a huge hit with our guild, everyone taking to heart the idea of spreading Breast Cancer awareness. In 2010, we decided to put together a fun "little" run with some friends where we'd run from the gnome starting area to the end, and play some games and then have a party at the end, and raise some money for charity. We turned our tabards pink, rolled our pink haired gnomes and....A LOT of gnomes showed up!!! Our "little" run turned out to be a lot of folks, who had a great time, and it was a pretty meaningful event for many people. A lot of us had a blast! We promised it would be a yearly event, and in 2011 FIVE HUNDRED or more gnomes showed up and lagged up the server in the name of raising awareness, funds and having a good time! We cannot wait to see everyone again and see how many gnomes show up this year!!

Get to the fun stuff!! Gnomes, running!! How do I do it??

Easy! Roll a gnome, give it pink hair, give it a cheeky name or a name that means something to you (We love tasteful jokes, but please nothing vulgar.) or any name at all, and on the day of the event, Tatayana and friends will give you an invite to our "Racing Guild" (Gnomies are too low to participate in raids, so this is our work around.) Show up early, and we'll give you tabards, and people hanging out from various other servers.

Last year, gnomes who were on a Trial Account couldn’t join guilds, but they could still run along! We’re still all talking in say, and the run is pretty fun/crazy! If you make it to the end without falling off the tram or being eaten by all that’s in Strangethorn you deserve to feel pretty awesome! (I fell pray to the tram one year. Yikes!)

Yet again we'll be racing to Booby, er, Booty Bay, and if we can, this year, our goal is a heart! Challenge mode activate!!

We look forward to seeing familiar faces, people from last year and the year before (did you know you can tell how long racers have been racing by their ranks in the guild?) and new people this year, to raise awareness, and to join us for this fun event! Bring your friends, bring your guild, bring your whole server!!

What's the point? How does a bunch of Gnomes and Pink Tabards do anything for Breast Cancer?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Everyone's been affected by cancer of some form. And, Breast Cancer can affect our Moms, Sisters, Girlfriends, Teachers, Best Friends, Co-Workers, it can even affect Men! Breast Cancer is something that with vigilance can be caught early, and catching it early can save a life. If people start talking about why the tabards are pink and everyone’s running around wearing them, it can spark conversations with our loved ones and the people in our lives. If one pink tabard or all of those gnomes reminds even just one person to check themselves, or go get a mammogram, or encourage that family member to go in to the doctor who’s been putting it off we've done our job for the year.

But we're also raising money along the way, playing games, and talking to our members about screening, and encouraging them to talk to family members who have been putting off going to the doctors.

Yes! We decided to add two exciting contests with prizes this year!

First off is Best Dressed Level 1 Gnome!

Submit your screenshot (1 screenshot please!) of your level 1 Gnome. Nothing is too fancy, nothing is too plain! Get creative with your screenshot, costume, ect!

Submit your screenshots to facebook page starting September 25th entries through October 20th. The most likes win! Your entry should have your charchter's name somewhere in and or on it, so we can contact you!

There will be a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd prize handed out at the end of the race!

What's this about Small Change? How does the pledge system work?

SeeDlings, and Friends will yet again be pledging small change per gnome to donate to a charity of their choice. SeeD is encouraging people to donate to the Cleveland Clinic because of their work on the Touhy Vaccine, which is being developed to prevent breast cancer in adults and is working towards clinical trials. Also, not only is the Cleveland Clinic working towards a vaccine we’d all like to see come to light, they have a low overhead, and many employers do a donation matching program with them.

Members can pick a "Small Change" amount that works well for them. They're not required to, but a good number of members did last year, and we hope they want to again this year! As you can see, even saying that for every gnome that shows up they'll donate a penny, it can add up! If you invite all of your friends and everyone agrees to do the same, and everyone donates a penny for every gnome there, we can make a big difference just by doing a small thing!

Why aren’t you guys raising money for Susan G. Komen Anymore?

Susan G. Komen decided to cut off support to Planned Parenthood, who provides low cost mammograms to many women. Pro choice or Pro Life, many women turn to PP for a lot of basic women’s health needs, including breast health. Planned Parenthood is one of the biggest low cost mammogram provider. If they can’t provide one either because of space or state limitations, they provide vouchers and referrals to low cost clinics that can. Though Komen decided to reverse the decision for this year, it was heart wrenching to think that an organization that we put our names with would turn their back on part of the idea that this whole run was about; which is encouraging and helping women to get tested, even when so many may not always have the financial or access means to.

Politics don’t have a place in Azeroth unless we’re talking Campfire for Warchief 2012 and it seems easier to support other organizations that are creating cures, and helping find the cure we all desire. If the Cleveland Clinic isn’t the right fit for you to donate to (though, I think they’re pretty dandy, and I strongly suggest you speak to Skakavaz about how amazing they are if you have questions! She really convinced me!) the American Cancer Society, The National Breast Cancer Foundation, and Planned Parenthood are all great places to donate, as well as local organizations that help pay down bills of cancer patients.

Make a trial account! Roll a pink haired gnome! If like last year, trial accounts cannot join the gnome guild you can still enjoy going to the event by running along with all of us!

If your account isn’t active, and hasn’t been active for a bit, I bet you could get a scroll of resurrection sent your way. I doubt Blizzard would mind seeing you back! :)

I only have Hordies on Scarlet Crusade, and all of my character slots are full, or all of my characters on Scarlet Crusade aren't gnomes!

Pgymy oil turns you into a pink haired gnome! You can join us at the start of the race if you're Alliance in your "Disguise" and escort us along, or if you're Horde outside the gates of Stormwind. Horde members can also rock some fabulous pink mohawks if they're Trolls! And our alliance Night Elf Druid friends can even turn into Pink and white cats! Not to mention the outfits you can come up with! Really the event is about having fun!

Just keep in mind this is a peaceful event and try to avoid the Alliance cities like Duskwood if you belong to the Horde! (We ran into some trouble there last year!)

You don't have to! Maybe change your hair color to...Pink! And run along with us. All of our gnomies will appreciate the escort through the scarier parts of our trip!

Well, we drew you a handy dandy map! Well, Skakavaz did this last year, I just got killed a lot in the process while testing out our route. I can verifiably say, I don’t recommend gnoming it alone!

PS. Last year after the run we decided to take the party to Org! Who knows where we’ll decide to take the "After Party" to this year??

Also, ElvineMod will be streaming the event!! I'm pretty excited to have had him reach out to me last second!

Currently my guild has lost quite a few members from lack of content from Blizzard and financial issues. While we are not a hardcore raiding guild, we would like to look for more members for those of us that would like to raid other than LFR.

We are a vanilla guild and raided everything from ZG to SSC, and then members started to get bored so we never did Sunwell. Then we raided Naxx and ICC plus the first part of Uld before people left again. We didn't do any raids in Cata except a core group of us that did LFR. So we are looking for some more casual people that would like to raid maybe one or two nights a week.

We are located on the EST-US Elune server, we are a level 25 alliance family friendly casual guild looking for more casuals that enjoys guild chat and working together.

My characters name is Tengochi, and all classes and levels are accepted.

Anybody familiar with current fury warrior stat preferences? Should I want the quest reward with hit and mastery as secondary stats, or the one with expertise and haste?

For the life of me i cannot remember what mod it is, and thus can't turn it off D: or which settings of what mod it is!
